The proficient pianist produces good tone, develops sound techniques that prevent injury, and maintains longevity as performer by using the body efficiently.
The Symposium focuses on awareness of the mind-body connection in learning, teaching and playing the piano. Internationally celebrated pianist-pedagogues with expertise on pianists’ psychophysiological mechanics will conduct a two-day Piano Pedagogy Symposium at the University of South Florida, School of Music, Barness Recital Hall.
The Symposium is open to college piano faculty, college pianists, private piano teachers, and advanced pre-college piano students.
