About the conference

Thanks to a grant from Chapman University and support from the College of Performing Arts, the 5th annual conference is scheduled for September 12th and 13th in the Partridge Dance Center.  The two-day format includes lectures, workshops and posters for Medical Professionals, Educators and Artists in the field of Music, Theatre and Dance.  All information is based upon proven principles and methodologies gathered from current research and is presented by performing arts medicine experts and educators. Arts educators will enhance their teaching skills and develop safe and effective teaching practices.  Medical professionals will be introduced to current research and strategies in caring for the needs of performing artists.

Conference coordinators Robin Kish and Janice Plastino are dedicated to providing a program which becomes the bridge between the artists, educators and medical professionals in the performing arts.  Please consider submitting an abstract for presentation or attending the 2015 conference.  If you have any questions, please contact Robin Kish at kish@chapman.edu.
