PAMA Salons

Sunday July 21, 6:30-9 p.m.

This year at the Symposium, PAMA is launching what we hope will become a new annual tradition.  We will be offering an evening of great food and great conversation.  Based upon the “salon” model from previous centuries, a “salon” is a gathering of people under the guidance of an inspiring host, held partly to entertain one another and partly to increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation, but always rooted in the visual and performing arts.  There are four different salons you can participate in this year with widely varying topics and locations.  Dinner or heavy hors d’oeuvres are included in the price of the ticket and a robust evening of entertainment and conversation is guaranteed.

  • Athletes and the Arts – Continue the conversation started during the education sessions during the Symposium.  Join your fellow colleagues interested in exploring the many ways to bring the athletic sports medicine community together with the performing artist and PAM community.
  • What is Happening in the Dance World – Choose to participate in this salon and you will engage in conversation with some of the top educators and researchers in the field of dance – what is coming up on the horizon, what should you be looking out for as you plan your next course or assess your next dance patient.
  • Biofeedback to Improve Health and Performance – Hosted by several experts in utilizing biofeedback to enhance performance, attendees will engage in conversation on best practices in the field of biofeedback and the outcome in terms of health benefits of the performing artists.
  • “Def Jam Aspen” – Join our participants hailing from New Orleans at this club experience in Aspen.   Come get your hip hop on and enjoy a great evening of music, food and festivities.

The PAMA Salons are a separate fee.
